Massachusetts CE Requirements for License Renewal

As a nurse in the state of Massachusetts, you are required to earn continuing education to renew your active license. All of our CE activities are accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Please ensure that any activity meets the requirements of your state board of nursing.

Renewal Requirements

RN

• Every two years
  • 15 hours of continuing education 
  • Domestic and Sexual Violence Training (Chapter 260) course provided by Massachusetts State

LPN 

• Every two years
  • 15 hours of continuing education 
  • Domestic and Sexual Violence Training (Chapter 260) course provided by Massachusetts State

Advanced Practice

• Every two years
  • 15 hours of continuing education in the advanced practice nurse role
  • Domestic and Sexual Violence Training (Chapter 260) course provided by Massachusetts State
