Nevada CE Requirements for License Renewal
As a nurse in the state of Nevada, you are required to earn continuing education to renew your active license. All of our CE activities are accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). To assist you in meeting your state’s continuing education requirements, we have added links to related topics. Please ensure that any activity meets the requirements of your state board of nursing.
Renewal Requirements
RN
- Every two years
- 30 hours of continuing education
- 4 hours cultural competency, diversity, equity & inclusion
- One-time requirement
- 4 hour bioterrorism course
LPN
- Every two years
- 30 hours of continuing education
- 4 hours cultural competency, diversity, equity & inclusion
- One-time requirement
- 4 hour bioterrorism course
Advanced Practice
- Every two years
- 45 hours of continuing education related to role or population focus (30 hours to meet RN requirement and 15 additional hours related to role or population focus)
- 2 hours related to the use and misuse of controlled substances for APRNs that have dispensing or prescribing privileges
- Within two years of initial licensure, and then every four years
- 2 hours related to suicide prevention
- One-time requirement
- 4 hour bioterrorism course
- CRNA:
- Additional 15 hours continuing education related to the practice as a nurse anesthetist
