South Carolina CE Requirements for License Renewal
As a nurse in the state of South Carolina, you are required to earn continuing education to renew your active license. All of our CE activities are accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). To assist you in meeting your state’s continuing education requirements, we have added links to related topics. Please ensure that any activity meets the requirements of your state board of nursing.
Renewal Requirements
RN
- Every two years
- 30 hours of continuing education
LPN
- Every two years
- 30 hours of continuing education
Advanced Practice
- Every two years
- 20 hours in pharmacotherapeutics for NP, CNM, or CNS with prescriptive authority, including 2 hours in prescribing controlled substances for NP, CNM, or CNS with controlled substance prescriptive authority
